WELCOME

Hi, my name is Kyrie Amon. I'm a social robotics researcher, programmer, manager & robot wrangler who's passionate about improving human-robot engagement through innovative approaches and ensuring that human-focused design is key. Whether it is taking into account privacy, natural interaction flow, and personalization in multiple modalities, I enjoy problem-solving and designing to make the human-robot-interaction as smooth as possible.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's degree in Informatics and Cognitive Science. My research focuses on interactive robotics and finding new ways to improve robot design to help people to better understand themselves and positively impact their metal/emotional health while feeling comfortable and safe engaging with a social robot.  Our current project focuses on using a social robot to help older adults find or rediscover their ikigai - "reason for being."

In my free time, I love spending time with my family and exploring my creative side through art, music, gaming, and all things geeky.
